Seattle Water Loss
A broken water supply line to the dishwasher can leave enough water, overnight, on a laminated floor to cause significant damage. SERVPRO always recommends to our neighbors in Seattle to use water-resistant flooring materials like tile, linoleum, or the latest and greatest wood-like vinyl boards. A small and controlled removal of the top layer of floorboards allowed our team to dry the subfloor in the crawlspace home. This also protects the joists from remaining damp and possible mold growth. The After Photo shows the skilled workmanship of our team to limit the damage to the water damaged area. We always try to minimize demolition and restore rather than replace building elements. Once this area is dried, we can reinstall the removed hardwood boards, "Like it never even happened."
